Invitations have been sent out to as many local shops we can reach – while we’ve also spread the word on social media – ahead of Grangetown’s first business forum.
Any shop, business, trader, home-based enterprise in the Grangetown area is welcome to come along on Wednesday 25th January (6.30pm-8.30pm).
It’s at the new Tramshed Tech in Pendyris Street – this is the exciting new working space for creative and technology businesses along the road from the popular Tramshed venue.
There will be a chance to network with other Grangetown business people AND there will be some practical training available on the night.
So what’s on the agenda?
First, a brief introduction from Community Gateway and Grangetown Community Action, who are hosting the event and are the partners behind the project.
We’re delighted and grateful that business coach and mentor Rob Firth has offered to facilitate the discussions – and to continue to support the forum.
- We’ll be discussing challenges in Grangetown, asking what the area has to offer and how a forum might be able to support both your business and the community?
- How a forum might work – issues including influencing local decisions, cross-promotion and marketing.
- How to access to free training/skills and business talks and planning events and a strategy to raise the profile of Grangetown as an independent shopping district of Cardiff
Thanks to Tramshed Tech and its current link-up with Google Digital Garage, the night will also include a free training session on getting online/social media!
Tramshed Tech is also keen to engage with its new neighbours in Grangetown – and has kindly offered to providing the venue for the next couple of forums, if that is what people want!
There will also be time for refreshments/networking and getting to know each other

We’re hoping to build up an online directory of businesses – so you can add your details here too.
